There are three race categories: Half Marathon 21km, 10km Challenge and 5km Fun Run/Walk. The start and finish point of the various races is Thuwanna National Indoor Stadium (1) with the race routes taking runners past iconic sites in Yangon.

Participants registered under the local category will be required to present their identification documents for verification status. Any participant without the proper identification documents is deemed as an international participant and will be required to pay the differences to match the international rates or forfeit the race slot without refund.

NOTE: Upon registration, fees reflected will be strictly determined by nationality.

Prize money will be awarded to the first three male and female winners of 21km Half Marathon and 10km Challenge. The prize breakdown in Kyats:

Yoma Yangon International Marathon 2026 participants (Yangon) will receive a Race Medal upon completion of race for all categories – Half Marathon 21km, 10km Challenge and the 5km Fun Run/Walk.

We’re excited that you’ll be joining us for the Yoma Yangon International Marathon 2026! Thank you for registering and being part of this special event.

Participants will soon be able to collect their race packs, which include a runner t-shirt, race bib, and official race guide.

  • Date: 19,20 & 21 February 2026 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday)

Your NIRC or Passport (original or copy) used during registration for verification.

Important Note for Under-18 Runners:

If you are under 18 years old (as of 31 January 2026), a signed Parent/Guardian Consent Form must be submitted at collection—whether you collect the race pack yourself or through a representative.

Letter of Parental / Guardian Consent and Indemnity Agreement

Important Notice: Runners who are under 18 years old as of 31 January 2026 must download, print and sign the Consent and Indemnity Form with their parent’s or guardian’s signature before collecting their race pack. The signed form must be submitted at the time of race pack collection. Participants who fail to provide a duly signed consent form, or who do not have parental/guardian consent, may be disqualified or denied entry at the discretion of the event organiser.

The early bird discount rate is available until 7 December 2025, but registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Slots are limited and expected to sell out quickly, so we encourage all runners to register as early as possible.

The status of registration, including category availability and sold-out updates, will be announced on our official Facebook page and Viber channel.

A participant must be 16 years and above on 31 Jan 2026, to participate in the Half Marathon. A participant must be 12 years and above on 31 Jan 2026 to participate in the 10KM Challenge category. A participant must be 10 years and above for the 5KM Fun Run category. Kids under 10 years old are to be accompanied by an adult. Participants under 18 years old must obtain consent from a parent or guardian. At the time of online registration, the parent or guardian must download the Consent and Indemnity Form, complete it, and provide a signature. The Participants who have not obtained parental or guardian consent, or who fail to submit the Consent and Indemnity Form on the day of race pack collection, may be disqualified at the discretion of the organiser.

Participants are required to make payment for the registration fee at the time of registration via the official Yoma Yangon International Marathon website https://yomayangonmarathon.com/. International runners can pay using Debit/Credit Cards (VISA or JCB). Local participants can pay via WavePay, AYA Pay, KBZPay, and MPU.

Yes. When registering on the Tikkat website, you may select “Login as Guest” and proceed without using your email address, or without creating an account. Alternatively, those who wish to create an account can do so by connecting with their email, Google, or Facebook account.

Yes, a valid email address is required. A confirmation email containing your registration details will be sent to the email address you provide during registration, and you must present this confirmation email when collecting your race pack. Please ensure that your email address is entered correctly.
There is no limit to the number of participants that can register using the same email address. However, each registration must be completed individually — one participant per transaction. For example, to register five participants with the same email address, you will need to complete the online registration process five separate times. Each successful registration will generate a separate confirmation email.

No. The official website allows registration for one participant per transaction only. Group or bulk registration is not available.

Once payment is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email containing a QR code. Please present this confirmation email when collecting your race pack.

Upon the completion of a successful registration, there will be no fee refund for a Participant who does not eventually take part in the race, for any reason whatsoever.

There are three categories; Half Marathon (21 KM), Challenge Run (10 KM), Fun Run (5KM). 

Current flag off time are as below. Please note that the flag off timings are subject to change.

  • 5:00 AM – Half Marathon (21KM)
  • 6:30 AM – Challenge Run (10KM)
  • 7:30 AM – Fun Run (5KM)

No, runners won’t be entitled to the finisher’s item such as the finisher medal if they don’t complete the race in the stipulated time-frame.

Only registered runners wearing their assigned Bib Number will be allowed on the race course.  

Wheeled devices including, but not limited to, jogging strollers, walking strollers, roller blades, bicycles, scooters, wheelchairs and skateboards, are not permitted on the course, except for official race and medical vehicles.  
Pets (including horses, dogs, cats, or any other animals) are not permitted on the race course, event site, or race village on race day.
For the safety and security of all participants and attendees, any type of liquid containers (including water bottles, energy drinks, alcohol, or other beverages) is strictly prohibited. Hydration will be provided only at official water stations; carrying personal liquids is not allowed. Unauthorised vehicles, pets, glass bottles, flammable items, weapons, and hazardous materials are also strictly prohibited.
Race Entry Pack includes the race bib, timing device, runner t-shirt, and other novelties. 
Further details on race pack collection will be announced closer to the event date.
For the safety and security of all participants and attendees, baggage and large personal items are strictly prohibited at the event venue. No baggage storage facilities will be available. Participants are advised to arrive in running attire and carry only essential items (e.g., phone, ID) in a waist pouch or similar. Any unattended bags may be removed and disposed of by security personnel without prior notice.
There will be course makers along the race routes. 
There will be an awards ceremony. 
Race Timings will be recorded using the Timing Chip, an electronic chip that is attached to the back of the Race Bib (Available for 10KM and Half marathon runners only). Race Timings will not be recorded for the 5KM Fun Run participants as it is not a timed race category. 
Runners are to use their Timing Chip correctly. Runners who wear the Timing Chips incorrectly (or not at all), or if they are not recorded at one of the mats, will not be able to receive their finishing timings or results (Available for 10km and Half marathon runners only). The Timing Chip is not applicable to 5KM Fun Run participants as it is not a timed race category. 
All Participants who successfully complete the race in his or her chosen race category will be awarded an e-Certificate of Participation. The e-Certificate of Participation will be made available on the official website within a month after the race. This entitlement will not apply to Participants who are unable to complete the race within the stipulated cut-off timings, are disqualified or did not complete the race. Applicable only to 10KM and 21KM Half marathon participants. The e-Certificate of Participation is not applicable to 5KM Fun Run participants as it is not a timed race category. 
Participants are strongly advised to stop your race and alert the nearest marshal if there are injured or otherwise unable to finish the race. 

There is a cut-off time for the Yoma Yangon International Marathon 2026 as follows;  

  • 21KM Half Marathon (4 hours)
  • 10KM Challenge (2 hours)
  • 5KM Fun Run (1.5 hours)
Participants will receive a Race Medal upon completion of race for all categories – Half Marathon, Challenge Run and the 5km Fun Run.
