Yoma Group is bringing its celebrated running tradition to Mandalay for the very first time. Yoma Mandalay International Marathon aims is to inspire athletes and connect communities through a mutual love for running. Runners will experience the charm of Mandalay as they run through its vibrant streets, connecting with fellow runners and the local community along the way.

Launched in 2026 as an extension of the Yoma Yangon International Marathon (YYIM), the Yoma Mandalay International Marathon (YMIM) marks a new chapter in Myanmar’s growing running movement. As the first international marathon ever held in Mandalay, the inaugural event brought together more than 3,000 runners from across Myanmar and beyond, uniting communities through a shared passion for running, health, and resilience.
Building on the success and legacy of YYIM, YMIM continues to grow as a platform that connects communities through sport while celebrating the cultural richness and heritage of Mandalay.
In 2027, YMIM will reach an exciting new milestone with the introduction of the Full Marathon category, offering runners a more challenging and rewarding race experience while further establishing Mandalay as an emerging hub for international endurance sports.

Yoma Mandalay International Marathon 2026 Overview
The Yoma Yangon International Marathon (“YYIM”), established in 2013, has grown into Myanmar’s largest participatory running event and one of the most recognised sporting occasions, bringing together runners, supporters, volunteers, corporates, and the wider community.
After eight successful editions in Yangon up to 2020, the event now expands to Mandalay, reaching beyond Yangon to inspire athletes and connect communities across Myanmar through a shared passion for running.
